Description: Looking for students that commute from Oak Harbor or Anacortes interested in carpooling and saving on gas. Currently we have two vehicles we alternate with weekly, and we drive to either March's Point P&R to get on the 513 to catch the 80X (2 hr trip both ways from OH), or we drive to Chuckanut P&R to hop straight on the 80X (1.5 hr trip both ways). Parking at either of those two is free vs. paying for Lot C or Lincoln Creek P&R. With a larger group, we can stick to Chuckanut P&R daily and save time vs. money. Eventually we hope to get enough people to sign up for an Island Transit Vanpool and drive straight to campus, splitting the $90 permit for Lot C, or maybe get lucky and park at the Vanpool lot. Travel times are based on everyone's classes, as well as when the 80X departs from Lincoln Creek P&R. Currently, we get to campus around 8:40 am, and leave at 3:10 pm or 4:10 pm based on the latest class (respectively).
